Identify energy efficiency solutions and get the most out of every m³ - Carry out a feasibility study
This program helps defray part of the cost of a feasibility study covering energy efficiency measures. The study will be carried out by an engineering consulting firm accredited by Gaz Métro.
Admissibility criteria - in short
- The facilities or buildings targeted by the study must not have been the subject of a previous study over the past five years.
- Studies covering several buildings or facilities with similar vocations (e.g. restaurant chain) may cover up to a maximum of five installations from the customer's realestate property.
- The feasibility study must not contain or recommend measures covering the substitution of natural gas for another form of energy.
- Recommendations for modernization, such as the installation of equipment covered by Gaz Métro energy efficiency programs (equipment acquisition), must not constitute the main proposals of the study.
- Energy simulations are covered for Gaz Métro customers, or those about to become customers, and they must be eligible for the Natural resources Canada validation of new building design.

Steps to follow - in short
- You may consult the Participant's guide and, afterwards, contact one of the firms accredited by Gaz Métro who will ensure that all the necessary documents to study your application are forwarded to Gaz Métro.
- You and the accredited firm will receive written confirmation of your eligibility for financial assistance from Gaz Métro and the amount of such assistance. You will then have six months to submit the study. The energy simulation must be validated by Natural resources Canada.

Financial Assistance
For Rates D1, D3 and DM, the Gaz Métro financial assistance amounts to 50% of the cost of the study before taxes for a maximum amount based on the annual consumption volume of natural gas.
