All customers may purchase their natural gas supply
ad compressor fuel services from the supplier of their choice. A list
of suppliers and marketers presently doing business in Quebec
is available from Gaz Métro. The natural gas
market is an unregulated market. Gaz Métro is
not associated with and does not specifically recommend any
marketer and supplier.
When a customer elects to purchase its natural gas from a supplier
other than Gaz Métro, a specific agreement is
put in place between Gaz Métro and the customer
under either a Natural Gas Supply service with transfer of ownership
of a Natural Gas Supply Service without transfer of ownership. |

Under this service, Gaz Métro purchases
the natural gas from the customer at an agreed point of delivery
and bills the customer for the gas at the customer's facilities.
In this situation, Gaz Métro becomes the owner of the
natural gas purchased from the customer until the customer consumes
it. Under this service, Gaz Métro will still billed
the customer for the Gas Supply Service. The purchase of natural
gas by Gaz Métro from customer is done in a separate
transaction. |

Under this service, Gaz Métro receives
the natural gas from the customer's supplier at an agreed upon
point of delivery and delivers it to the customer at the customer's
facilities. In this situation, the natural gas supply remains
the property of the customer, who is therefore not billed Gaz Métro's gas supply price. |
