Snow Accumulation - Gaz Métro Reminds its Customers about the Key Prevention Measures

March 10, 2008 - Press releases

Montréal, March 10, 2008 – Owing to the significant quantity of snow that has fallen in Québec since the start of the winter, Gaz Métro would like to remind its customers that it is important that they take the necessary measures to give access to their natural gas connection at all times.

Among those essential steps is to clear the connection, including the meter and the pressure regulator, of snow. The supply valve must also be visible and accessible in order to facilitate any work that may be necessary.

Also, to ensure that your natural gas appliances are working well, it is recommended that you clear the air vents (supply opening) and the exhaust ducts on the outside of the building.

Gaz Métro would like to thank its customers for their collaboration and remind them that these prevention measures are aimed first and foremost at ensuring their safety and security.

For any questions or information regarding these measures, customers are invited to call Gaz Métro at 514-598-3222 or 1 800-361-4568.
